Painting Arcane Ruins
The Arcane Ruins set is a terrain piece that has a lot of character and will look good on any gaming table. With their weathered, rocky texture, the Arcane Ruins are also ideal for drybrushing. Below, we have a simple guide to painting your Arcane Ruins.
Arcane Ruins Components
1
After undercoating the ruins with Chaos Black, use your large, flat-edged brush to drybrush the ruins with Codex Grey. This brush will leave traces of the Chaos Black undercoat showing in the recesses.
2
Next, lightly drybrush Fortress Grey on the edges and raised areas of the ruins. This step will create the look of aged rock.
3
To finish, use a small drybrush and weather the recesses of the ruin with Bestial Brown. You can also drybrush streaks to represent a weather-beaten and stained appearance.
