Week 4 Report
s the war for the Nemesis Crown enters a new phase, the Dwarfs of Thorgrim Ironfist are in the ascendant, winning many great victories and perhaps even closing in on the location of the Crown itself. But others win honours, too, notably the Bretonnians and the Wood Elves, whose own objectives are furthered with every battle they win.
Other armies find themselves facing defeat if they cannot redouble their efforts or brook new alliances. The Men of the Empire find themselves in debt to the Bretonnians, without whose aid many regions would have slipped into the hands of the forces of darkness, who would then have had free reign to scour the woodlands for the lost Crown.
Meanwhile, others still languish on the brink of disaster. The Beasts of Chaos and the Orcs & Goblins have suffered many terrible defeats. Yet, even as they lick their wounds, fell minds hatch terrible plans of bloodshed and conquest, and once more the forests shall burn and the rivers run red with the blood of those who would possess the Nemesis Crown.Tomb Kings
The agents of Settra have been busy this week. Ghostly ships have again been spotted sweeping down the flowing waters of the Empire's rivers. Indeed, several outlying towers and keeps have been attacked by sinister warriors adorned in Gold and Turquoise armour. The skeletal foes have left none alive at these invaded outposts and although the significance of the items taken is a mystery to the generals of the Empire the dedicated purpose shown by the undead warriors is evident to all.
To Settra these items have great significance. The Charm of the Resplendant Eye and the wicked bladed Dagger of Shapesh have been recovered. But, much to the great Kings distaste his agents have been largely unsuccessful at returning those other items that his will is set upon. The Bretonnian crusade against his forces in the south has forced much of his attention away from the purpose of his presence in these lands. The Liche Priests are forced to concentrate on keeping the armies animated and cannot dedicate themselves to determining the location of the remaining treasures.
Near the lost mine of Karazi Drudd Settra has faced his most enraging setback. A lone wizard who guarded a host of curiosities in his tower, some valuable and some not, stood before a host of undying warriors. Despite the will of Settra's many lieutenants being set against this ancient mage he held his bastion against them. Skeletal warriors burst into flame as magical fires swept from the tower to engulf the besieging army. As the sun crept above the horizon to announce the dawn the wizard stood alone on his tower's highest point gazing at the ravaged army that withdrew before him. The lieutenants responsible for this failure have not been seen again.
