Week 4 Report

As the war for the Nemesis Crown enters a new phase, the Dwarfs of Thorgrim Ironfist are in the ascendant, winning many great victories and perhaps even closing in on the location of the Crown itself. But others win honours, too, notably the Bretonnians and the Wood Elves, whose own objectives are furthered with every battle they win.

Other armies find themselves facing defeat if they cannot redouble their efforts or brook new alliances. The Men of the Empire find themselves in debt to the Bretonnians, without whose aid many regions would have slipped into the hands of the forces of darkness, who would then have had free reign to scour the woodlands for the lost Crown.

Meanwhile, others still languish on the brink of disaster. The Beasts of Chaos and the Orcs & Goblins have suffered many terrible defeats. Yet, even as they lick their wounds, fell minds hatch terrible plans of bloodshed and conquest, and once more the forests shall burn and the rivers run red with the blood of those who would possess the Nemesis Crown.

Orcs & Goblins

Grimgor Ironhide now leads the greenskins' search for the Nemesis Crown in person, leading a vast horde as it sweeps across the region. Grimgor is an unstoppable force of nature, bellowing orders to his underlings and challenges to his foes both day and night.

Though frequently defeated in battle, the greenskins appear to have enjoyed some success in their quest. Rumours abound of a Night Goblin said to “stink all wrong, like a really big boss even though ‘e's just a runt.” Grimgor has ordered all of the Forest Tribes to follow the spoor, and to locate this Night Goblin who, Grimgor believes, must surely be wearing the “Nem'sis ‘at.”

Meanwhile, other concentrations of greenskins further from Grimgor's gaze have been following their own agenda, safe in the knowledge that for now at least, the Ironhide is too preoccupied to notice them. Warlord Gromzarg has made a name for himself in the Reik's Marches , and some members of his tribe already, perhaps rashly, hail him as the “next Grimgor.” Some have launched a campaign against the many Sigmarite sanctuaries across the region, taking blasphemous delight in piling great mountains of dung at the gates. Other tribes have continued their mission to simply burn down the forest, possibly unaware that Grimgor countermanded that order weeks ago. The alchemical fuels provided by the Chaos Dwarves have made it impossible to extinguish these fires, and so the guilty parties hope against hope that Grimgor finds the Crown before realising they have not obeyed his orders.

What Does That Mean? The following color codes are meant to provide you with a barometer of how well your faction is progressing towards its stated goal for the Nemesis Crown. These color codes are here to give you a sense of your progress to date.

Image of a green button. Green. Your faction is doing well, and if things continue, you are bound to secure your objectives while others stumble and clash in the depths of the forest.
Image of a yellow button. Yellow. The fight is far from over, and the outcome isn't certain, though victory is definitely within your grasp. To assure you achieve your faction's goal, you'll need to put forth greater effort.
Image of a red button. Red. Things are not looking well at all, and fate seems to have forsaken you. Despite your best efforts, nothing seems to be going according to plan. Victory may still be possible, as the winds of war are often fickle. In order to succeed, you'll need to re-double your efforts!

The Big Picture. It is important to remember that for this campaign, there will be no single winner. Each faction is working towards its goal, and battles will determine whether or not they are able to achieve it.
