Week 4 Report
s the war for the Nemesis Crown enters a new phase, the Dwarfs of Thorgrim Ironfist are in the ascendant, winning many great victories and perhaps even closing in on the location of the Crown itself. But others win honours, too, notably the Bretonnians and the Wood Elves, whose own objectives are furthered with every battle they win.
Other armies find themselves facing defeat if they cannot redouble their efforts or brook new alliances. The Men of the Empire find themselves in debt to the Bretonnians, without whose aid many regions would have slipped into the hands of the forces of darkness, who would then have had free reign to scour the woodlands for the lost Crown.
Meanwhile, others still languish on the brink of disaster. The Beasts of Chaos and the Orcs & Goblins have suffered many terrible defeats. Yet, even as they lick their wounds, fell minds hatch terrible plans of bloodshed and conquest, and once more the forests shall burn and the rivers run red with the blood of those who would possess the Nemesis Crown.Dwarfs
The throngs of Thorgrim Ironfist have fought a series of glorious battles across the entire Great Forest region, gaining dominance in the Drakwald Deeps and Reik's Marches . Thorgrim's forces have now completed the construction of a series of fortifications along the Old Dwarf Road and elsewhere. These stout palisades have proven unassailable to the forces of darkness, which continue to batter themselves against the ironbound stakes day and night.
With his fortifications complete, Thorgrim has despatched a number of Ranger bands to shadow closely the movement of Grimgor Ironhide's vast greenskin horde. Such a task is fraught with peril, with the Rangers and the Forest Goblin tribes fighting deadly running battles. Yet, Thorgrim knows that of all the dark and twisted souls within the forest, it is the greenskins who are most likely to be drawn to the evil of the Nemesis Crown, and the loathsome Forest and Night Goblins who are most likely to get their scrawny hands upon it. Thus, the Rangers tail Grimgor's every movement, ready to strike the moment it appears the greenskins may have located the Crown.
In others areas, the Dwarfs continue to take the war to their foe, even lending vital aid to the High Elves at the Ruins of Tor Thana and at the Stone of Blood. Joseph Bugman himself has however renounced a large number of his fellow Dwarfen Warleaders, accusing them of exaggerating their accomplishments. For those who have stood firm throughout the war, Joseph has promised a keg of his most potent ale. For those who continue to tell tall tales, only a barrel of orange dye and a Slayer's oath awaits…
