Week 4 Report
s the war for the Nemesis Crown enters a new phase, the Dwarfs of Thorgrim Ironfist are in the ascendant, winning many great victories and perhaps even closing in on the location of the Crown itself. But others win honours, too, notably the Bretonnians and the Wood Elves, whose own objectives are furthered with every battle they win.
Other armies find themselves facing defeat if they cannot redouble their efforts or brook new alliances. The Men of the Empire find themselves in debt to the Bretonnians, without whose aid many regions would have slipped into the hands of the forces of darkness, who would then have had free reign to scour the woodlands for the lost Crown.
Meanwhile, others still languish on the brink of disaster. The Beasts of Chaos and the Orcs & Goblins have suffered many terrible defeats. Yet, even as they lick their wounds, fell minds hatch terrible plans of bloodshed and conquest, and once more the forests shall burn and the rivers run red with the blood of those who would possess the Nemesis Crown.Dark Elves
The fury of Malekith can be felt across the whole of Naggaroth as reports of failure and incompetence return to him from the Old World . His armies are scattered and his agents captured. Most frustratingly his generals have turned on one another. The warriors of the Druchii have been reported fighting each other or pursuing their own objectives, and Malekith has decided to act. Sending Shadowblade, his most trusted assassin, he has decided to take the head of one of the most powerful nobles in the field. The terror of trying to foretell which noble will be next to feel Shadowblade's knife at their throat should force them back into line.
The dark eye of Malekith is straining to see the movements of the Asur through the forests at the heart of the Empire for only the disruption of their petty plans could allow some satisfaction from this campaign. But even here the Witch King is being thwarted as instead of interfering with the plans of his treacherous cousins it seems that every move of his lieutenants is swiftly countered by the elves of Ulthuan.
Indeed only in the lands around Kohldorf have the Druchii seen any real success. The villages of this region will not forget the quest for the Nemesis Crown as they mourn the loss of so many of their folk to the holds of the Black Arks of Naggaroth.
