Week 4 Report
s the war for the Nemesis Crown enters a new phase, the Dwarfs of Thorgrim Ironfist are in the ascendant, winning many great victories and perhaps even closing in on the location of the Crown itself. But others win honours, too, notably the Bretonnians and the Wood Elves, whose own objectives are furthered with every battle they win.
Other armies find themselves facing defeat if they cannot redouble their efforts or brook new alliances. The Men of the Empire find themselves in debt to the Bretonnians, without whose aid many regions would have slipped into the hands of the forces of darkness, who would then have had free reign to scour the woodlands for the lost Crown.
Meanwhile, others still languish on the brink of disaster. The Beasts of Chaos and the Orcs & Goblins have suffered many terrible defeats. Yet, even as they lick their wounds, fell minds hatch terrible plans of bloodshed and conquest, and once more the forests shall burn and the rivers run red with the blood of those who would possess the Nemesis Crown.Beasts of Chaos
Morghur's uprising appears in tatters, and his corruption of the forest has been countered by the arcane skills of the Wood Elves' Spellweavers. At every turn, the warherds are beset by the Asrai, by Empire Knights or by Dwarfs. It appears that Morghur's power may be waning, and his uprising may have cost the herds dearly.
Yet, the Children of Olde Nyte have inflicted a fearsome toll upon the hated Men of the Empire, not least among them the dread Beastlord Goreghannath, whose baying can be heard across the Barren Hills. Villages have been reduced to blackened ruins, and many offerings have been made at the herdstones. Though many Beastmen have perished at the hands of the Wood Elves and others, each Asrai killed by the Bestigor is nigh irreplaceable, while the Beastmen will rise again from the forest depths.
Morghur now calls all his children to do his bidding, to rise up once more in one final effort to reclaim their domains from Man and Elf alike. He would soak every Herdstone in the Great Forest with the blood of his foes and bring about the utter corruption of the entire region. Even now, the braying of the warherds is heard across the forest in answer to his call...Regional Status Reports
